Nhyiraba Kojo sentenced to 30 days in prison for contempt

Nhyiraba Kojo, a well-known Ghanaian musician, and businessman, has been sentenced to 30 days in prison for contempt of court!

The sentence was imposed by a Sekondi Commercial High Court after the businessman failed to comply with an interlocutory injunction imposed on the operation of his NK City Nightclub in Fijai, Western Region.

Three Fijai residents sued the musician for noise from his nightclub.

The court, presided over by Justice Sedina Agbemava, sentenced him to 30 days in prison for failing to comply with the court’s interlocutory injunction order requiring him to stop the noise at the nightclub, install soundproofing at the NK City Nightclub, and submit a report to the court.
