I’m not begging for money; all I want is a job, says Fred Amugi in response to critics

Fred Amugi, a Ghanaian veteran actor, has hammered critics who labeled him a “beggar” following his appeal to be featured on a billboard as a brand ambassador.

Remember how Fred Amugi begged companies and institutions to honor him while he was still alive by making him a brand ambassador before he died?

“One wish I’d want to have for my 74th birthday is to see myself on a billboard as a brand ambassador. I wouldn’t want to die before I am mounted on a billboard, where I wouldn’t see what is being done for me.”

“I’m prepared to be a brand ambassador for your products. Use me whiles I’m alive and not when I’m dead and gone,” he appealed to brands in a viral video.”

His appeal drew the attention of Caveman Watches CEO Anthony Dzamefe, who met with the veteran in his office and posted photos of their meeting on social media with the caption “Deals.”

Some social media users, however, implied that Fred Amugi was begging for money. But he has come out to debunk the rumors, claiming that he was only looking for work and was not begging for money.
